Tea Haus owners

Jacob and Hillie met in Norway, Maine in 2018. They never dated, but went from best friends to engaged- virtually overnight. The only reason this didn’t seem unhinged at the time was because the dreams of one reflected the vision of the other, and vice versa.

Those dreams started to come to life when they bought their first home in Andover in 2019. At the time, the house was two rooms with a utility closet and a screen porch.

In 2020 they got married, alone in the woods. Four years later, the cottage had transformed to the Great Northern Tea Haus, and Hillie & Jacob had moved to Bucksport where they are currently renovating a Fransiscan monastery.

The Tea Haus is still used by the family every September when Hillie uses the cottage as a base camp for her yearly work as a wild game processor.
